Fashion history is fascinating and something which I wish I had been more inclined to study when I was enrolled in a college that had such a course of study.  I know that some people could say there are more important things, and I agreed.  But I never was one much into fashion when I was younger, and now I find it absolutely fascinating.

I also had an acquaintance who DID basically study fashion, historically.  She ended up going to a masters program where she was basically being trained to be a consult on play and film works of historic natures.  I don’t think she ended up liking her exact program.  But seriously, that’s some pretty cool research.  And it says so much about societies at certain times.

And I’ve gone too far with this, yet again.  Bahahaha, you know you follow me for a reason.

i took a a few material cutlures classes in graduate school. more to do with everyday objects or popular culture (arts/music) but we did discuss clothing quite a bit. it is fascinating.
